Baker McKenzie advised Pacoma Holding S.à r.l. on the sale of the Pacoma Group to the US group Legget & Platt (L&P). The acquisition of Pacoma Group is part of L&P's growth strategy, which had entered the hydraulic cylinder market four years ago with the acquisition of PHC. "With our well-established global team, we were able to assist our client in the transaction from start to finish across borders, whether it was in China, the U.S. or here on site in Germany. Thus, we quickly achieved the desired goal and Pacoma's success story can now be continued at L&P", comments Christian Atzler, lead partner of the transaction. Pacoma is one of the world's leading suppliers of hydraulic cylinders. They are used in particular in construction machinery and mechanical engineering as well as in logistics and the automotive industry. L&P is a leading global manufacturer of comfort components for home and office furniture, beds and adjustable bed frames. The publicly traded group employs more than 20,000 people worldwide at approximately 130 production facilities in 17 countries. It reported annual sales of $5.1 billion in 2021. Baker McKenzie's Corporate/M&A team regularly advises on domestic and international transactions. Most recently, Baker McKenzie advised, among others, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) on its investment in vhf Group, VINCI Energies S.A. on the acquisition of parts of Kontron AG, AURELIUS on the acquisition of AGFA Offset Solutions and of Footasylum from JD Sports, FUNKE Digital on the acquisition to Baseplus DIGITAL MEDIA GmbH, Knorr-Bremse AG on the sale of its stake in Haldex AB to SAF-Holland SE, Siemens on the sale of its Commercial Vehicles business to Meritor, Kerry Group plc on the acquisition of c-LEcta, Celanese on the acquisition of DuPont's Mobility & Materials business, Sika AG on the acquisition of the MBCC Group, Advent International on the sale of the Allnex Group to PTT Global Chemical, Paragon on the sale of NovumIP to the Questel Group, Embracer on the acquisition of Easybrain Limited, and SAP on the sale of the SAP Digital Interconnect communications unit to Sinch AB.
