Halloween is a great way to spend some quality (read fun) time with your family but it’s not particularly known to be fun for bikers. After all, who in their right minds would transform their motorcycles into something spooky, right? Well, Germany’s Bundernbike has.

Called the Spider, the custom motorcycle is a Harley-Davidson Roadster 1200 wrapped in a spooky livery alongside a number of notable changes, all making it a standout project. Let’s take a look.

According to its maker, the idea here was to make a mostly unliked insect - spider - likable by infusing it with the globally popular Harley-Davidson Sportster. Building on this, the first notable aspect of the Harley Spider is its livery. The shop has gone for a sinister dark gray base coat in a matte finish paired with custom candy green wheels for a standout contrast. Topping this are several graphics - spider webs, skulls, and the Harley text in a Halloween font - which adds some spook to the package.

More serious upgrades, though, have come elsewhere. The bikemaker has chopped the rear subframe and replaced the stock tail with a flat track-like unit. Similarly, you sit on a custom leather saddle while resting your hands and feet on a taller aftermarket handlebar and knurled footpegs, respectively.

The Sportster’s 1,202cc, twin-cylinder engine remains as is internally but boasts a gray finish from the outside. You also get a rope-wrapped custom exhaust system and an air filter swap to improve the aural experience. Meanwhile, the suspension and brakes appear the same as the OEM units, and so does the analog instrument cluster.

Sadly, the Harley-Davidson Spider isn’t up for grabs and we believe it was a private project. However, there are some other custom Harleys for sale at Bundnerbike which you can check out. Or you can also hit up the bikemaker and get a quote for a similar build, in case you already have something in mind.
